(CHICAGO, IL) April 2, 2007- Mark Theis, Executive Vice President, Sales for the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB) announced today the appointment of Brien Zamperetti to Director, Eastern Regional Sales. Zamperetti, who will be based in the Bureau’s Maryland office, joins the CCTB on April 2.
Zamperetti joins an already aggressive sales team armed with more than 11 years of sales experience, primarily within the convention and tourism industry. Most recently, he held the position of Regional Director of Sales for the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association. He has also led the sales efforts for organizations including the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau.
In this position, Zamperetti will be responsible for leading and managing a staff of five in the Eastern Regional sales office to strengthen the account base and uncover new business opportunities for Chicago’s McCormick Place, Navy Pier and hotel community.
