ez-Meetings Proves Successful in Delivering Efficiency for Booking Small Meetings

(CHICAGO, IL) May 14, 2007— The Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB) continues to deliver industry-leading services for customers seeking to book meetings in Chicago. Its latest offering makes booking small meetings in Chicago with less than 150 rooms on peak easier and faster than ever.
With the new ez-Meetings online tool, meeting planners simply visit the CCTB’s web site at www.choosechicago.com/rfp/ezmeetings/rfp.cfm. From there they can choose from three options to submit an RFP to Chicago hotels, including sleeping rooms only, as an attachment or by entering the RFP directly into an online form.
Planners can also elect to send their RFP to hotels based on a particular location such as downtown and/or the surrounding metropolitan area or simply those that can meet their selection criteria. Once completed, the lead is sent electronically to the hotel(s) ultimately providing an immediate e-response back to the customer.
The ez-Meetings product has already proved successful for multiple meeting planners.
Julie Graciano with Concepts Worldwide, Inc. requested her RFP be sent to only qualified 4- and 5-star hotel properties. After a brief introduction to the new booking engine, she was very pleased stating she received “great responses in great time.” Camille Petrick with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine concurred stating “I love this!”

ez-Meetings also provides a full online reporting mechanism that allows clients to log in and review the status of their leads, review responses from the hotels, make changes to their RFP, and submit their RFP to additional hotels. While at the same time the tool provides a reporting mechanism for hotels to view new leads, view status of outstanding leads, generate an online production report and more.
