The city of Chicago and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) & The Center had much to celebrate since the Annual Meeting & Expo drew more than 7,000 attendees breaking records for total attendance and number of association executives. ASAE and the center is a highprofile group of executives who determine where association meetings/conventions are held. Chicago is second only to D.C. in the number of association headquarters.
This incredibly successful event launched with the opening night extravaganza held in the new West Building’s Skyline Ballroom and concluded with a private concert by Natalie Cole at Northerly Island’s Charter One Pavilion.
John Graham, ASAE President and CEO commented positively on the host city stating, “Chicago has been a terrific host city, making sure attendees experienced superb service over the four days…”
ASAE welcomed its largest international delegation to date, as 223 attendees came from Aruba, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Zambia.
The CCTB would like to thank the more than 350 volunteers and sponsors who helped to create such a positive experience for ASAE & The Center and for their continued commitment to Chicago’s meetings and convention industry.
